Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 19, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Dementia Docs website and the purchase or use of applicable services, educational resources, consultations, programs, and other offerings provided by The Dementia Docs ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing our website or purchasing or using an applicable offering, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

The Dementia Docs may provide services including occupational therapy, dementia-related services, caregiver consultation and education, professional education, training, wellness-related education, resources, and other services within the appropriate professional and legal scope.

The specific terms governing clinical services may also be contained in separate intake documents, informed-consent agreements, service agreements, financial policies, or other documentation.

If a separate signed agreement conflicts with these general website Terms regarding a specific service, the applicable signed agreement will control to the extent of that conflict.

2. Educational Information Is Not Individualized Medical Advice

General information provided through this website, social media, presentations, downloadable materials, courses, webinars, newsletters, or other educational content is provided for educational and informational purposes.

General educational information does not establish a therapist-patient relationship and should not be considered individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

A professional therapeutic or healthcare relationship is established only when appropriate clinical requirements and agreements have been completed.

3. Emergencies

The website, email, educational programs, and general communications are not emergency services.

If you believe you or another person is experiencing a medical emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services in your location.

4. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Healthcare, dementia care, mind and body wellness, caregiver support, education, and wellness outcomes vary substantially between individuals.

The Dementia Docs does not guarantee any particular clinical, functional, behavioral, caregiving, financial, or other outcome from use of its services or educational information.

5. Payments

Prices and payment requirements will be disclosed at or before purchase.

Payments may be processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable processor to process the transaction according to its terms.

6. Cancellations, Refunds, and Packages

Appointment cancellations, rescheduling, packages, unused services, refunds, expiration periods, and other financial policies are governed by the policies presented during booking, checkout, intake, or the applicable service agreement.

Users are responsible for reviewing those policies before purchasing.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, materials provided by The Dementia Docs—including written content, educational materials, presentations, frameworks, worksheets, videos, graphics, downloadable resources, course materials, and other original content—are owned by or licensed to The Dementia Docs and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Materials are provided for personal or specifically authorized professional use and may not be copied, reproduced, sold, distributed, republished, taught, licensed, or commercially exploited without written authorization.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our website, services, resources, or content for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, or unauthorized purposes or in a manner that interferes with the operation or security of our systems.

9. Third-Party Services

We may use or link to third-party platforms for scheduling, payments, videoconferencing, communication, technology, or other business functions.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services outside our reasonable control, and use of those platforms may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Dementia Docs and its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website, educational materials, or other non-clinical offerings.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be waived, including applicable professional obligations associated with healthcare services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction's law is required to apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this website with a revised effective date.
